As much as I'd like to think my work will have a major effect on how we perceive and execute art in the future, I'm pretty sure it wont. I will also refrain from describing it as an emotive journey into the abstraction of form and preconceived hierarchy of colour and WD40. No, I don't know what that means either!
I paint, photograph and sculpt because it brings me pleasure and hopefully pleases others. I don't suffer for my art, unless you count the countless hours rubbing down fibreglass. I think that most creative people create not only because of the pleasure in the process, but for some form of kudos, not basking in the glory so much as having another person giving positive comments on your efforts.
Anyway for myself I can only conclude it beats digging holes for a living.
Thanks for dropping by, Andrew.
